French Roast

A classic dark roast coffee. Our French Roast coffee blend uses several top-grade Arabica central and South American coffee beans roasted to a dark roast. This is our benchmark dark roast; not too dark, not too light. This blend is bold and intense. It is rich with chocolate notes and a hint of sweetness from the caramelization of sugars from the extended roast. This coffee has a smooth body and light smoky overtones.

Preparation

Grind your coffee as close to brewing as possible. Match the grind of coffee to your brewing method. We recommend using 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for 6 ounces of water. Adjust the amount of water or coffee to achieve your desired strength.

I Surrender, This is a Great French Roast

As a proud Italian, I wanted the French Roast to be good but not as good as the Italian Roast. But this is another great dark roast from Good as Gold. The flavor profile is a little different than the Italian Roast, not quite as smokey and roasty. This has a slight more caramelize sugar flavor but has a lot of what you'd want from a darker roast. Very good, try both.
